Causes and responses to stress
Many of us in a lot of moments in our life have experienced different kinds of stress, many of them are manageable, here are some exercises that I use when I'm looking to destress in moments when I can't handle myself.
Body Exercises
Yoga:
Yoga is a very know practice to relax not only your body, but your mind, there are many types of yoga in those exercises you can include routines like time breaths, different positions that you can vary according the intensity that you choose. It would be nice if you keep these exercises by routine trying to change in a while in order not to be repetitive.
Walking:
Exercising your body in general is a fundamental step to do something about stress management, one of them is a simple one but very useful if you want to clear your mind and to think about other things is to walk, just admire the simple thinks like sunset, the wind, this practice helps people not only in a physical way, but a mental and philosophical ways.
Deep Breathing:
There are so many techniques for deep breathing, you can relax in your chair, on your bed or in any place that you prefer and in approximately 1 minute try to do breathing exercises, hold your breath and exhale, in a lapse of 8 breaths per minute.
Mind Exercises
Listen to Music:
Listening to music, is one of the most pleasant activities in my life, by experience I can say that if you listen to music you'll feel better to continue your activities and to relief yourself for a moment.
Take a break:
To take a break is a common but not appreciated mind exercise that helps you in stress moments, taking you out of your overhwelming thoughts, and you can do it any time, in any place that requires just a few minutes or hours depending of the demand of your problem.
Create a Routine:
In a really stressful moments, you don't have time for many things and you can't feel plenty in your daily life, for that is important to organize yourself creating a routine, including things you do or you should do to have time to other things in general, this would be a habit that influences directly in your mood, and if you create a plan or a routine you will see better organization in your life.
